The Community Nursery School, established in 1964, is a ministry of Third Presbyterian Church. A volunteer Board of Directors and a paid Director oversee  the operations of the school and are accountable to the Session, the governing body of the church.

It is the philosophy of the school that childhood should be a time of fun, exploration, and discovery. Preschool children are creative and receptive, and our staff strives to nurture and encourage these qualities. Our purpose is to provide an atmosphere that encourages the social, physical, emotional

and spiritual development of the child as a whole.

Our program is theme oriented and the curriculum includes sharing time, stories, Bible lessons, songs and finger plays, craft activities, games

holiday celebrations, and field trips.

Classes:

9:30 a.m.                             2-year-old playgroup - meets Friday mornings.

9:00 a.m. -11:30 a.m.       3-year-olds - meet either Monday/Wednesday or Tuesday/Thursday.

                                             Children that are three years old by December 1st can be  enrolled.

9:00 a.m. - Noon               4-year-olds - meet either Monday/Wednesday/Friday; Tuesday/Thursday/Friday; or Monday through Friday.

                                             Children that are four years old by December 1st can be enrolled.
