Compassion International (www.compassion.com) was founded by Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education, and health care, as well as Christian training.  Today Compassion helps more than 1.2 million children in 26 countries.  Jesus Christ is at the heart of Compassion International’s ministry. Every child who participates in a Compassion program is given the opportunity to learn about Jesus and discover how to develop a lifelong relationship with God.  This good news is modeled and shared in age-appropriate and culturally relevant ways.  The great commission is at the core of their mission and discipleship is at the core of their program. Horizons International is a Christian organization serving international students in the Capital District since 1986. Our goal is to help international students adjust to life here and to promote friendship and understanding between students and members of the community. To that end, Horizons offers group outings, opportunities for cultural exchange, friendships with Americans and Christian activities.   While Horizons is a Christian organization, students need not be Christians to participate. Those from any nationality and all religious backgrounds are welcome.

InterVarsity is an evangelical campus ministry serving students and faculty at RPI, Russell Sage and Hudson Valley Community College.
